Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled in-house Technical Translator to join our team. The role focuses on translating software interfaces, technical documentation, user manuals and related marketing content from English to Polish. You will belong to a small team of international translators and technical writers and also work closely with our development and marketing teams to ensure all materials maintain accuracy and clarity for our clients. The ideal candidate has a strong background in both language and technical fields, ideally with experience in architecture, design software, or related industries. This on-site position will require regular attendance at the office, which  is located in the Koneser complex of buildings in Warsaw.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Translate software interface, technical documentation, including user manuals, product specifications and marketing materials from English to Polish.
  • Occasionally translate technical content from German into Polish, if possible.
  • Write technical documentation in English for the internally developed plug-ins
  • Create, edit, and maintain CAD documentation and manuals in line with company standards.
  • Maintain and update documentation using Adobe RoboHelp or similar software.
  • Edit and format images using image-editing software.
  • Proofread and edit translations for accuracy, ensuring they are culturally and technically appropriate for the target audience.
  • Collaborate with engineers, designers, and other technical staff to gather and interpret information for documentation.
  • Ensure clarity, consistency, and accuracy across all technical materials.
  • Maintain a glossary of technical terms and ensure consistent usage across all translations.

Required Qualifications:

  • University degree in English 
  • Proficiency in both Polish and English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of German is desirable
  • Familiarity with design or architectural software (e.g., Vectorworks, AutoCAD) is a strong advantage
  • Knowledge of additional languages, such as Dutch or French, would be an advantage
  • At least 2 years of experience in technical translation and/or writing is required
  • Experience working in industries related to CAD software or technical documentation in the engineering sector is highly desirable

Technical Skills:

  • Experience using CAT tools such as Trados, MemoQ or other Computer-Assisted Translation (CAT) software.
  • Familiarity with RoboHelp or similar tools for creating and maintaining documentation would be an extra advantage.
  • Experience in image editing using software such as Photoshop (or equivalent) would be an extra advantage.

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously with tight deadlines
  • Good collaboration skills and a willingness to work closely with cross-functional teams.
