How many times can I install Vectorworks?

The number of times you can install your software depends on your license type: with or without a dongle.

Electronic serial number

In case of an electronic license, a USB dongle is not needed. The serial number of this license type will begin with the letter “E”. Every electronic license can be installed on two computers. You cannot use Vectorworks on both computers simultaneously.

Serial numbers with dongle

Serial numbers starting with a letter ‘B’ are always linked to a license with a dongle. If you want to access Vectorworks not only at your workplace, but also on your device at home or on a laptop, you need to do two things: enter the correct serial number and insert the dongle into the USB port of that device.
